When you purchase an engraved brick, it will line the walkway to the new store's entrance so that supporters can always be part of Vienna's and Bards Alley's history. Your generosity will ensure a permanent home for our indie bookstore, offering a dedicated gathering space while preserving a unique, historic Vienna building.
ORDERS OPEN THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2026. Plus, for every brick sold, Bards Alley will be making a donation to Reading is Fundamental (RIF) NOVA to help address today's literacy crisis and make reading fun for kids!

The Story
On February 5, 2026, Jennifer Morrow — the owner of Bards Alley Bookshop — purchased the property at 103 Church St. NE in Vienna from John and Deborah Kurcina, former home of John Edwards Hair Design. She intends to preserve the building's historical value and use it as Bards Alley's future home.
While the relocation remains in its early stages, this signals the beginning of a new chapter for the historic property as well as one of Fairfax County's few independent bookstores, cementing both their places in Vienna.
As of Thursday, April 16, 2026, on the former John Edwards Hair Design sign hangs a banner reading: Future Home of Bards Alley Bookshop designed by McCabe's Printing Group.
Stay tuned for updates, photos of any changes, and more. Current stage involves approvals. Estimated moving date around early 2027, to be updated.
